The CTA-MAGIC group at IFAE is opening a PhD student position. The deadline for sending applications is 31st January 2011. The successful candidate will be selected not later than few weeks after the deadline. The starting date can be negotiated but should not be later than April 1st 2011.

NOVEMBER 2010 - Postdoctoral Position at the IFAE theory group

The Theory Group at the Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE), on the UAB Campus (Barcelona) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Particle Physics starting in September 2011. The appointment will be for two years. A third year may be possible but will be subject to evaluation.

OCTOBER 2010 - Postdoctoral position in the gamma-ray astrophysics group at IFAE

The gamma-ray astrophysics group at IFAE ( www.ifae.es ) in Barcelona is looking for candidates to fill a postdoctoral position in the frame of the MultiDark project (see below). The IFAE group is part of the MAGIC collaboration, which operates a system of two ground-based gamma-ray telescopes in the island of La Palma.

January 2010 - Two year post doc position for the MAGIC upgrade in the field of ground-based GeV-TeV Cherenkov Astrophysics.

The successful candidate will work in the Pisa/INFN MAGIC group (http://www.pi.infn.it magic/) for the first year and play a major role in the prototyping and commissioning of the novel readout system of the two MAGIC telescopes based on the domino ring sampler 4.
