Low Energy Aspects of Conformal Technicolor with Weak Scale SUSY

Abstract:

I will review the motivation for conformal technicolor, and discuss a new approach to this idea based on weak scale SUSY breaking. In the recent work that I'll describe, SUSY breaking is itself responsible for triggering a phase transition in a conformal technicolor sector.

Condensation of the latter induces a VEV in the elementary SUSY sector, such that EWSB is shared between the composite and elementary fields. The confinement scale can thus be significantly lower than in pure technicolor, allowing a realistic precision fit and suggesting a variety of new sub-TeV states that could be seen early in the running of the LHC.
