COLLOQUIUM: First Planck results and cosmological implications

Monday May 6 2013, 12:00pm

Speaker: Julien Lesgourgues (EPFL, CERN, LAPTh)

Abstract:

The Planck satellite has measured CMB anisotropies over the full sky with unprecedented sensitivity. The collaboration has released its first CMB temperature maps and cosmological analysis on the 21st of March.

I will present a summary of these new CMB results, focusing mainly on their implications for our understanding of the Universe.
As usual, at 12:00 at the IFAE seminar room
