The Status of Flavour Physics in the LHC Era by Clara Matteuzzi

Clara Matteuzzi, Univ. Milano-Bicocca
Monday, March 1st, 12:00 - IFAE Seminar Room

Flavour physics is a very interesting sector for present and future dedicated experiments and machines. Some physics aspects of CP violation are still left open by the excellent measurements at B-factories and Tevatron. Very rare decays, forbidden in the Standard Model, for which the required statistics can only be obtained at hadron colliders or super-B
machines will open a window on New Physics, in a complementary way to the direct searches at LHC. After a brief introduction to flavours in the Standard Model, a selection of the most recent experimental measurements will be reviewed, together with the future perspectives at LHC.
