SEMINAR: Phenomenological approaches of inflation and their equivalence

January 30 2015, 12:00pm -  Seminar room

Speaker: Lotfi Boubekeur (Valencia U & IFIC)

Abstract :   Inflation is the dominant paradigm to explain the initial conditions of our universe, yet this attractive paradigm is still lacking robust observational confirmation.

Usually, when confronting inflation with observation, specific inflationary scenarios are invoked as benchmark models.  I will introduce two model independent approaches to test inflation, namely the Mukhanov parametrization and the Hubble flow formalism and discuss their equivalence, as well as the outcome of their fit to present data.
