PIC participates in the MAGIC and CTA Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs) that detect very high energy gamma rays (VHE). MAGIC has been in the scientific exploitation phase for more than 15 years. CTA is the reference project for the next generation of IACTs and it is considered the highest priority in the European astroparticles (ASPERA) and astrophysics (Astronet) road maps. In addition, CTA is a “landmark” of the roadmap of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI).

The successful applicant will participate in the development and operation of the data management infrastructure for the MAGIC and CTA experiments including, but not limited to, the prototyping of data services within the Data Lake infrastructure being developed within the ESCAPE EU H2020 project
