Open Position 6 months fellowship in the group doing simulation of the spread of Covid-19 in Catalunya

The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) of Barcelona invites applications for a fellowship of 6 months (gross salary 10.5k€) within the project “A powerful stochastic tool to assess the impact of COVID-19 in Catalonia“. The fellow will join a multidisciplinary team of physicists, demographers, mathematicians and engineers from various institutions whose goal is to provide a simulation tool for epidemic outbreaks using the finest sets of demographic and mobility data available for Catalonia.

Applicants are required to hold at least an MSc in Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Python coding or in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases.

The fellowship is required to start as soon as possible.
