About IFAE
The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) is a public consortium of Generalitat de Catalunya, the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, a public university) whose main goal is to carry out research and to contribute to the development of high energy physics from a theoretical, experimental and technological point of view. IFAE has the status of a “University Institute" attached to UAB and its premises are within the campus of the university.
About the project
IFAE takes part of the project Advances technologies for the exploration of the Universe and its components, of the area of Astrophysics and High Energy Physics, within the frame of the R&D&I Complementary Plans of the Spanish Government that are part component 17 of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and by the Department of Research and Universities of the Catalan Government.
IFAE’s Research projects Office seeks an Project Manager Assistant for this project. The Project Manager Assistant will be the liaison between IFAE and the funding agencies as well as between IFAE and the other research institutions involved in this project, in order to transfer any relevant information in both directions and, in particular, to deliver all the ongoing data and reports associated with it. The Project Manager Assistant will take care of the follow-up of the project, this will include monitoring the execution of the project according to the Grant Agreements, the follow-up of deliverables and milestones, coordinating communications within the consortium of the project, preparing scientific and financial reports, giving support to the organization of events, such as follow-up meetings.
Required skills
- Fluent English, Catalan and Spanish.
- University degree in Science, Science Engineering, Finance or similar.
- Experience of at least two years in managing research projects funded by the European Commission and Spanish Agencies.
- Knowledge of the European, Spanish and Catalan scientific environments will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the European/Spanish tools for proposal submission and management will be an asset.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with web content management systems (CMS) will be an asset.
Offered contract
A Full-time (40h/week) position for the length of the project, which is expected to end on April 2025. There will be a 4 months trial period. IFAE’s Labour category: Administration Technician, Level 2. Gross salary will be within the range of this category (between 24,000 and 30,870 euros per year) in accordance with the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. The selected candidate is expected to join IFAE in October 2022.
