Description
The retinal prosthesis comprises an integrated circuit comprising a plurality of pixels, an array of electrodes connected to the pixels and configured to excite neurons in a retina, and one or more PV cells. The implant furthermore comprises a photodetector. The integrated circuit is configured to process signals from the photodetector to selectively activate the pixels.
Innovation
  • Highly energy efficient and low complexity system for artificial vision devices based on PV powered prostheses.
  • High quality images generated by an image processor emitting data patterns by using a light source.
  • Multi-electrodes array technology compatible with graphene, enabling flexibility, biocompatibility and low thermal conductivity for the intraocular prosthesis devices.
