New IFAE Members
New Members in the ATLAS group
January 13, 2021Collider Physics Group
Shalini Epari and Nazlim Agaras have just joined the ATLAS Group.
Shalini is a new PhD student with a La Caixa INPhINIT Fellowship. She completed a BS-MS Dual Degree in Physics at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Kolkata, India.
Nazlim Agaras is a new postdoc in the group. She graduated and obtained her master in Physics at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. She did her PhD in ATLAS at Clermort Auvergne University in Clemort Ferrand, France.
Both of them will work in the maintenance and operation of the TileCal calorimeter and searches for new physics in multilepton final states using Run 2 and Run 3 ATLAS data.
IFAE at EPS-HEP 2021
July 27, 2021
The European Physical Society conference on high energy physics 2021 (EPS-HEP 2021), one of the most important conferences in HEP of the year, is taking place online this week. Three IFAE groups are participating:
New ATLAS publication
June 30, 2021
“Measurement of the tttt production cross section in pp collisions at sqrt(s)=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector” has been submitted to JHEP. Members of the IFAE-ATLAS team (Aurelio Juste, Nicola Orlando, and Anil Sonay) have played a leading role in this publication, from designing the analysis strategy to the final multivariate technique and statistical analysis employed.
