New member in the Gamma Ray Group

Gamma-ray Group

Njoh Theodore has joined the Gamma Ray group at IFAE as Postdoc.

Njoh is Cameroonian. He got his PhD in the University of Geneva. He has been working on the calibration and pointing simulations of the first SST prototype for CTA, called SST-1M, and on gamma-hadron separation by exploiting machine learning.

HERD prototype tested at CERN SPS beam

The HERD prototype is being tested at CERN SPS beam between Oct 2 and 16. This test, together with the one at PS back in September, will be used to validate and optimize the different sub-detector concepts and complete Phase B of the project.
