“Search for pair production of third-generation scalar leptoquarks decaying into a top quark and a τ-lepton in pp collisions at s√=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector” has been submitted to JHEP.

“Search for pair production of third-generation scalar leptoquarks decaying into a top quark and a τ-lepton in pp collisions at s√=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector” has been submitted to JHEP.

This paper presents the first dedicated ATLAS search for pair production of scalar leptoquarks with a significant branching ratio into a top quark and a tau lepton.

Scalar leptoquarks decaying exclusively into tτ are excluded up to masses of 1.43 TeV while, for a branching fraction of 50% into tτ, the lower mass limit is 1.22 TeV. These are the most stringent direct limits to date on such production and decay modes.

Members of the IFAE-ATLAS team have played a leading role in this publication. In particular, Stergios Kazakos is one of the main analyzers, and Aurelio Juste the corresponding editor for the paper.

Measurement of the tttt production cross section in pp collisions at sqrt(s)=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector” has been submitted to JHEP. Members of the IFAE-ATLAS team (Aurelio Juste, Nicola Orlando, and Anil Sonay) have played a leading role in this publication, from designing the analysis strategy to the final multivariate technique and statistical analysis employed.
