Thorsten Lux elected as member of the Executive Committee of T2K

Neutrinos GroupThorsten Lux has been elected as one of the 4 international members of the Executive Committee of T2K.
The role of the EC is to make decisions on major collaboration issues, oversee progresses and developments in the projects and advise the Spokespersons with all collaboration matters.
From IFAE, a previous EC member was Federico Sanchez.

Cavern Excavation Completed for Hyper-Kamiokande

The excavation of the colossal underground cavern that will host the Hyper-Kamiokande detector in Japan has been successfully completed. This marks a major milestone for the international project, which aims to become the world’s most powerful neutrino observatory. IFAE participates in the project.
