The QCT group visits Can Franc
December 1, 2021
Quantum Computing Technologies GroupMembers of the QCT group at IFAE visited the Canfranc underground laboratory last week to perform the installation of cryogenic cabling in the dilution refrigerator of the CROSS experiment.
This work is part of a new project in the Quantum Computing Technologies group to carry out qubit measurements in underground conditions with low environmental and cosmic ray radiation.
Pol Forn participated in the Scientific Committee of the LSC Can Franc to present the work done by the group.

Successful first delivery for the Quantum Spain project to build the first Spanish quantum computer
July 10, 2023
The Qilimanjaro-GMV joint venture has completed the first milestone in the construction of the quantum computer at BSC, which consists of remote access to a 5-qubit quantum chip. This chip is operational at Qilimanjaro’s Quantum Computing Technology laboratory at the Institut de Fisica d’Altes Energies (IFAE) and is, in fact, the first quantum computer located in Spanish territory.
