February 23, 2022
Gravitational Waves GroupOrnella Piccinni has just started as a new postdoc of the GW Group.
Ornella was a postdoc at the Virgo-INFN Rome group and an Amaldi research center fellow at the Sapienza University of Rome. She obtained the L’Oréal-Unesco Award “For Women and Science” 2021.
Ornella works on the search for continuous monochromatic gravitational waves, a type of signal still undetected by LIGO and Virgo, emitted by neutron stars and potential dark matter candidates.
Welcome, Ornella!
