New analysis by the IFAE ATLAS group
May 25, 2022
Preliminary results of a novel broad-mass range search of scalar particles (X) in flavour-changing neutral current decays of the top quark in ATLAS have been recently released. The complete analysis has been carried out by IFAE members.
Close to 2-sigma excesses have been found in several mass hypotheses for the t->cX channel. Limits of the order of 10^-4 for both t->uX and t->cX channels with the mass of the scalar from 20 to 160 GeV have been set.
The complete analysis has been carried out by IFAE members and has been shown in several conferences and workshops since its release three weeks ago. It will soon be sent for publication.
