Since 2022, IFAE has the responsibility of designing part of the ETpathfinder cryo-shields surrounding the main mirrors in the cavities. Now it is also established that IFAE will deliver a pre-alignment system based on instrumented baffles with new technology for 1.5 - 2 microns wavelength laser light detection.

These activities put IFAE in the selected list of EU institutions providing cutting edge technology for the Einstein Telescope.
