New ND280 Upgrade milestone achieved

Neutrinos GroupAt CERN, the first cosmic tracks with the first of the final TPC field cages have been recorded. An important milestone towards shipping the first TPC to Japan this summer.
On a rleated note, Analysis of test beam data taken with a prototype of TPC with resistive Micromegas for the T2K Near Detector upgrade has been published by Nucl.Instrum.Meth.A.
And on May 10th, the 149th Meeting of the SPSC committee will be held. Thorsten Lux will present the status of the NP07 experiment (ND280 Upgrade project)
Milestone
Cavern Excavation Completed for Hyper-Kamiokande

The excavation of the colossal underground cavern that will host the Hyper-Kamiokande detector in Japan has been successfully completed. This marks a major milestone for the international project, which aims to become the world’s most powerful neutrino observatory. IFAE participates in the project.
