Theory DivisionClara Murgui joins the Theory Division as a Beatriz de Galindo Junior Researcher.
Clara obtained her Ph.D. in Physics at the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (IFIC) and the Universitat de Valencia, under the guidance of Pavel Fileviez Perez and Antonio Pich. She held a Sherman Fairchild Postdoctoral fellowship at Caltech in the Walter Burke Institute of Theoretical Physics from November 2020 to October 2023. Since November 2023, she is a Beatriz Galindo junior research associate at UAB and IFAE.

The study “First Search for Ultraheavy Dark Matter Using a Magnetically Levitated Particle” , co-authored by IFAE researcher Dorian Amaral and collaborators, explores a new experimental approach to probing interactions of ultraheavy dark matter. The work has been reported on Phys.org
