Neutrinos Group

Ewan Miller has just joined the Neutrinos group as Postdoctoral researcher.

He recently obtained his PhD from King’s College, London. Ewan is interested in the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations, with a particular focus on the T2K long baseline experiment in Japan. He will be continuing to develop the near detector analysis framework and will investigate possible designs for an upgraded near detector for the Hyper-Kamiokande era.

Cavern Excavation Completed for Hyper-Kamiokande

The excavation of the colossal underground cavern that will host the Hyper-Kamiokande detector in Japan has been successfully completed. This marks a major milestone for the international project, which aims to become the world’s most powerful neutrino observatory. IFAE participates in the project.
