IFAE researchers participate in Científiques 2025 to make visible the research of women in science

#Científiques 2025 beat the participation record

The #científiques 2025 program has achieved outstanding participation, with 610 scientists and 502 schools registered. Additionally, over 150 teachers and between 80 and 100 researchers per session have taken part in the training sessions. Six scientists from IFAE, Laura Casas, Silvia Gasparotto, Helena Moyano, Balma Duch, Martine Lokken and Ariadna Gómez del Pulgar participated in this year’s edition.

This program brings science to schools on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, February 11, 2025, inspiring future generations.

The #Científiques 2025 launch took place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Auditori del Parc de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (PRBB).

IFAE brings fundamental physics closer to young students through its 2026 summer programmes

Throughout June and July, IFAE welcomed around 100 secondary-school and university students through a series of educational and research programmes designed to bring young people closer to fundamental physics and scientific research.

IFAE's Severo Ochoa programme brings jazz, history and physics together in a sold-out public event

A sold-out audience of around 300 people gathered for ‘Sota l’eclipsi: jazz i física de l’univers’, an outreach event supported by IFAE’s Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence programme. Bringing together history, fundamental physics and live jazz, the evening explored how eclipses have transformed our understanding of the Universe while highlighting the dialogue between scientific discovery and artistic creation.
