Successful Validation of Data Transmission Systems for Virgo Instrument

IFAE Technical DivisionPepe Illa, David Román, and Otger Ballester successfully tested the wireless and wired communication systems of the instrumented baffle at Virgo, confirming compatibility with the detector.
During the first week of April, Pepe Illa, David Román, and Otger Ballester travelled to EGO to carry out a key installation in the West End tower of Virgo. The goal was to validate the wireless and wired communication systems of the instrumented baffle currently under development.
The team installed the final data transmission electronics inside the tower and conducted a series of tests. Both WiFi and RS485 transmissions operated successfully over several periods without causing any interference with the Virgo interferometer, confirming the system’s compatibility with the detector environment.
