Closing event of the IN-CAEM project

On 26 November, the ALBA Synchrotron hosted the event marking the completion of the IN-CAEM project and the presentation of its new advanced facilities for the study of materials relevant to the energy transition. Gonzalo Merino attended on behalf of PIC.

As part of the project, the ALBA Synchrotron and PIC have integrated their high-performance computing systems to handle the massive data volume generated by the new microscopes, synchrotron beamlines, and large-scale simulations, providing essential support for IN-CAEM’s research activities.

New Wide-Field Telescope Installed at Montsec Observatory with PIC Participation

A new wide-field telescope (TRAC) has been installed at Montsec Observatory to enhance asteroid tracking, deep-sky imaging, and space technology research. Coordinated by the IEEC and with the involvement of PIC, the project is set to begin scientific operations in 2026.
