At the 103rd Collaboration Board meeting, held on 14 October 2022, Aurelio Juste was elected as the next Deputy Chair of the Publications Committee (PubComm) for one year, starting on 1 March 2023, and becoming the Chair for the following year, starting on 1 March 2024.

Both positions, which started on October 1st, have a duration of 2 years.

An ALTIROC2 device assembled at IFAE was tested for the first time with a particle beam

Members of the IFAE-ATLAS team have played a leading role in two of the 31 new results released by ATLAS at ICHEP 2022. The corresponding publications will be submitted to the journal soon.

This first batch of RD53A triplet modules fully assembled and characterized at IFAE by the ATLAS pixels group has recently left IFAE to SLAC (United States) for ITk loading testing

Last week the the LHC delivered a total of 5 fills with 900 GeV collisions (stable beams were declared during 4 fills). In total, approximately 23 hours of stable beams at injection energy were delivered to ATLAS.

The Final Design Reviews for the LGAD sensors for the High Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD) and for the ITk Pixel modules are ongoing.

Yujing Gan has just joined the ATLAS Pixels group as a PhD student. She got her bachelor degree in the Central China Normal University (CCNU).
