‘Topping-up multilepton plus b-jets anomalies at the LHC with a Z’ boson’, co-authored by A. Juste, together with T. Vazquez Schoeder and theorists E. Alvarez and M. Szewc, was recently submitted to the arXiv.

The ATLAS trigger workshop with the scope “Ready for Run 3 - Trigger strategy and commissioning in 2022” is taking place online this week. Several members of the IFAE ATLAS team are participating, chairing sessions or giving talks.

The ATLAS High Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD) Sensor Specification Review took place on Nov 10th. This is the first step, of many, towards the sensor fabrication for HGTD. IFAE is interested in fabricating part of these sensors locally. S. Grinstein, as one of the HGTD sensor coordinators presented the specifications.

The 4th Red LHC workshop takes place this week from Wednesday until Friday online. The IFAE ATLAS group is giving three talks:

• “New results of the H+->tb search with full Run 2 data” by Adrian Salvador
• “New results for mono-jet searches with full Run 2 data” by José Luis Muñoz
• “Leptoquark searches with full Run 2 data” by Stergios Kazakos

The Higgs 2020 conference is taking place online this week. A new ATLAS result of the associated production of ttbar with a Higgs boson decaying into bbar is presented, probing the CP properties of the Top-Higgs Yukawa coupling. Several IFAE members have contributed into this analysis.

Stefano Terzo participated last week in a testbeam experiment at DESY, Hamburg measuring highly irradiated 3D pixel modules for the ATLAS upgrade at LH-LHC. The preliminary analysis of the data show a promising performance of these detectors even at large radiation doses.

Sebastián Grinstein presented the ALTAS High Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD) project at the Vertex 2020 (online) conference.

The ATLAS Collaboration week is taking place online this week. Several members of the IFAE-ATLAS team are attending and Ilya Korolkov is presenting the status of the Tile Calorimeter for the Phase-II upgrade
