The ATLAS Higgs and Top (HTop) workshop is taking place online this week. Several members of the IFAE ATLAS group are attending it.

Aurelio Juste is starting his position as convener of the ATLAS Exotics Working Group on October 1st 2020.The group is composoed of 800 members. The position will last for 2 years.

The ATLAS Exotics+SUSY Workshop 2020 is taking place online this week. Several members of the IFAE-ATLAS team are attending.

The ATLAS physics and performance Week is taking place online this week. Various members of the IFAE ATLAS team are attending it and giving talks.

Last week, the ATLAS High Granularity Timing Detector passed the LHCC/UCG reviews. The IFAE ATLAS Pixels group is playing a leading role in sensors (LGADs, with CNM), hybridization, module assembly and ASIC design. The group is also participating in several management positions.

Chiara Rizzi’s PhD Thesis with the title ‘Searches for Supersymmetric Particles in Final States with Multiple Top and Bottom Quarks with the ATLAS Detector’ has been published by Springer. She defended her work at IFAE in October 2018, and her supervisor was Aurelio Juste. After two years as a CERN Fellow, Chiara is starting a second postdoc at University of Geneva.

The ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition collaboration week is taking place online this week. Several members of the IFAE ATLAS team are attending it and giving talks.

The ICHEP conference is taking place online from Tuesday 28th July until Thursday 6th August. Most members of the IFAE-ATLAS group are participating and attending various of the many sessions. Several new ATLAS analysis results carried using the full Run 2 data and mainly or entirely by members of IFAE.
