The Fiber Tracker for the HERD space cosmic-ray/gamma-ray detector is being tested this week with high-energy ions at the CERN SPS.

The meteorological data recorded over the past two decades by sensors of the Roque de los Muchachos astronomical observatory facilities point to a rise of 1.1 ºC in the average temperature. The analysis shows more than double the increase predicted by climate models for the same area, and even more than expected for the next 20 years.

On the 16th and 17th of September was held in Paris the kick-off meeting for the Astrophysics Centre for Multimessenger studies in Europe - ACME. IFAE and PIC participate leading the improvement of transnational access to the MAGIC telescopes.

Prof. Harald Kornmayer from the DHBW Mannheim university is visiting IFAE-PIC until January 2024.
