Martine Lokken has just joined the Observational Cosmology group as Postdoc researcher.

The T2K ND280 Upgrade project achieved a significant milestone as the first of the new Time Projection Chambers (TPCs) recorded cosmic tracks inside the ND280 pit.

Laura Casas has just joined IFAE as a PhD student in the Observational Cosmology Group.

The HERD prototype is being tested at CERN SPS beam between Oct 2 and 16. This test, together with the one at PS back in September, will be used to validate and optimize the different sub-detector concepts and complete Phase B of the project.

Newly appointed President of the Italian Civil Protection Commission Eugenio Coccia, Director of IFAE, will lead the commission for the next five years.

The detector is already connected to the gas system and first cosmics in this configuration are expected to be recorded in about 4 weeks. First data taking with a neutrino beam is planned for the 2nd half of November and December.
