New Member in the Gamma-Ray group

Luis Fariña has joined the Gamma-Ray group as a PhD student. He graduated in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid got his Master’s degree in the Universitat de Barcelona.

IFAE PhD thesis published in Springer

Chiara Rizzi’s PhD Thesis with the title ‘Searches for Supersymmetric Particles in Final States with Multiple Top and Bottom Quarks with the ATLAS Detector’ has been published by Springer. She defended her work at IFAE in October 2018, and her supervisor was Aurelio Juste. After two years as a CERN Fellow, Chiara is starting a second postdoc at University of Geneva.

ESA's Euclid milestone achieved

The Near-Infrared Spectrometer and Photometer (NISP) has been installed in the Pay Load Module of Euclid’s Flight Model. This is an important milestone for the instrument.

To the Mothers of Science 2020 grant winners

The programme offers supporting grants and coaching sessions to talented BIST female researchers to recognise their roles as scientists and mothers, and to support them along their way to attaining positions of greater responsibility. This year’s winners come from all seven BIST centres. Malgorzata Siudek, Postdoctoral Researcher at IFAE, obtained one of the grants.
