On March 6, the LST Collaboration published its first scientific paper in the Astronomy & Astrophysics journal. The paper focuses on a multi-wavelength study of the unidentified ultra-high-energy gamma-ray source known as LHAASO J2108+5157.

IFAE participated in the ETpathfinder meeting in Maastricht n Fed 22 - 23.

Cristobal Padilla and PhD student William d’Assignies, visited the Euclid space telescope at Thales Cannes on February 22, with eighty members of the European collaboration.

A delegation of the Chinese Academy of Science visited IFAE on Monday February 27 2023. The visit was part of a tour for reviewing the status of the collaborations with different European research institutions on space missions. IFAE has been participating in the design of the HERD cosmic-ray/gamma-ray detector for the China Space Station since 2020.

Aurelio Juste starts as Deputy Chair of the Publications Committee (PubComm) for one year, and will become the Chair for the following year, starting on 1 March 2024.

The IFAE Neutrino group has a new publication: SuperFGD prototype time resolution studies ( I. Alekseev et al 2023 JINST 18 P01012) related to the T2K ND280 Upgrade project.

Stochastic simulation of successive waves of COVID-19 in the province of Barcelona has been published in the Infectious Disease Modelling journal by the IFAE COVID grup in collaboration with Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED) and the Internet Research Center (i2CAT).

Mario Martinez, ICREA professor at IFAE and head of the Gravitational Waves Group, is the new Director of the Experimental Division and takes on the role of IFAE Deputy Director. Martine Bosman, retiring Director of the Experimental Division, assumes the status of IFAE Emeritus.

Pilar Casado has been accepted by the T2K collaboration as a new member.
